The Japanese Association for Humanistic Psychology (JAHP) is dedicated to the development of research and practice of humanistic psychology. Our responsibility is to contribute to society through individual's health, growth, and recovery.
The Japanese Association for Humanistic Psychology(JAHP)was founded as an academic organization on July 11, 1982.
Since "The Symposium about Humanistic Psychology" was held in the Japanese Psychological Association convention (Kyushu University) in 1978, the study group had been continued as a "Humanistic Psychology Study Group", but at the convention in Kyoto Women's University, it came to be inaugurated as a society.
The formal regulations of a society were decided on the occasion of the 2nd convention (in Bunkyo University) held on September 10-11, 1983.
